Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced Public Trust Linux Administrator, the remote full-time role will manage the deployment, configuration, and operational support of RHEL infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and security compliance for the US Census Bureau.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of RHEL servers, including provisioning, patching, and decommissioning
- Proactively monitor and optimize the performance of the RHEL environment to support data processing and ingestion
- Serve as an escalation point for infrastructure issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a background investigation for Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 7+ years of equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Linux/RHEL Engineer or Administrator
- Expertise in Linux performance tuning and kernel parameter analysis
- Proficient in scripting with Bash and automation using Ansible
