Job Summary
To support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the full-time remote Public Trust SOC Analyst will continuously monitor enterprise security systems, analyze security alerts, and identify potential cyber threats.
Key responsibilities
- Continuously monitor enterprise security systems and SOC dashboards for malicious activity
- Analyze security alerts from various monitoring platforms and correlate security events to identify threats
- Perform initial incident triage, validate potential security incidents, and escalate confirmed incidents as necessary
Required qualifications
- Public Trust Clearance or ability to obtain one
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity monitoring
- Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring technologies
- Understanding of NIST SP 800-61 and knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
