Publicity and Events Manager

Job Summary

To elevate the events program for authors, the full-time salaried Publicity and Events Manager will develop and execute event strategies, manage logistics for various events, and direct PR and social strategies, all while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity from select states.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute events strategy for Sourcebooks Kids authors, including bookstore signings and large-scale events
• Manage full event logistics such as venue outreach, booking, travel coordination, and communication with authors and teams
• Direct PR and social strategy for events, including crafting pitches, securing media coverage, and designing event assets

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in book publicity, marketing, or author events
• Proven track record of building relationships with booksellers, media, or event venues
• Familiarity with tools used in book marketing, such as Bookscan and social media platforms
• Ability to manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously
• Genuine enthusiasm for children's books and authors
