Punjabi Consecutive Interpreter

Job Summary

To facilitate effective communication, the contracted Punjabi Consecutive Interpreter will provide remote interpretation services during phone calls and meetings, ensuring clarity and cultural sensitivity while adhering to industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services during various over-the-phone situations
• Listen to speakers in the source language and accurately convey messages in the target language
• Maintain professionalism and comply with HIPAA and company protocols throughout the interpretation process

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of experience or 3000 hours of active interpretation
• Proficiency in at least two languages (source and target languages)
• Proof of English language proficiency with a "technical proficiency" on the national ILR rating or equivalent
• Completion of Mock Call assessment with a passing score
• Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments (headset, stable internet, laptop)
