Punjabi Interpreter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Punjabi Interpreter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Relay oral information accurately between speakers of two different languages
• Facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak the same language
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical codes

Required Qualifications:

• Possess native fluency in English and Punjabi
• Strong cultural awareness and understanding of language as an expression of culture
• Excellent interpreting skills, including consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation
• Completion of a 40-hour interpreting course and preferably national certification
• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite
