Job Summary
Leading the purchasing department, the full-time Purchasing Manager will develop and execute purchasing strategies, manage inventory levels, and build strategic supplier relationships in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the purchasing process and lead department personnel
- Analyze purchasing processes to identify and implement efficiencies
- Develop procurement strategies in coordination with Supply Chain management to negotiate favorable terms
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or pursuit of) in a business-related field, preferably in Supply Chain or Purchasing
- 5+ years of experience in a buying/purchasing role, including management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including VLOOKUPs)
- Understanding of inventory management practices, including ABC classification
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with vendors
