Job Summary
Focused on maximizing the performance of utility-scale solar assets, the full-time remote PV Performance Engineer will lead capacity testing, analyze performance data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance long-term asset value.
Key responsibilities
- Lead PV capacity testing in accordance with ASTM E2848, delivering accurate performance assessments
- Analyze large-scale plant performance data to identify and resolve performance challenges
- Develop and enhance advanced PV energy models to improve operational strategy and forecasting accuracy
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 4+ years of experience in PV energy modeling or utility-scale solar engineering
- Direct experience with commissioning, capacity testing, or operational performance engineering for utility-scale solar projects
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting ASTM E2848 PV capacity and performance testing
- Strong understanding of DC collection systems and solar asset performance drivers
