Python Developer

Job Summary

Security-focused Python developers will find a full-time remote opportunity to design, develop, and implement custom plugins and third-party integrations for a cybersecurity software product, while working with data models and log aggregation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data models, index structures, and storage strategies for cybersecurity applications
• Develop and maintain Python libraries, utilizing REST and SOAP APIs for data integration across multiple platforms
• Transform and normalize data using log aggregation tools such as Elasticsearch and Splunk, while creating queries against big data

Required qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of strong Python programming experience
• Proven experience in authoring and developing Python libraries
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure
• Degree in a STEM-related discipline or a minimum of 5 years of cybersecurity experience
• Experience using REST and SOAP APIs to query and update data across third-party applications
