Python Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote contract Python Engineer focused on data engineering, who will develop solutions for new use cases by building data marts and mini data warehouses, creating Python-based REST APIs, and managing large volumes of claims data.

Key responsibilities

• Build data marts and mini data warehouses utilizing the GCP stack
• Develop and maintain Python-based REST APIs to read from analytics databases such as BigQuery
• Collaborate with various teams to gather and define data requirements for consolidation

Required qualifications

• Hands-on proficiency in Python, particularly for API development and data engineering tasks
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery (BQ)
• Knowledge of PySpark, specifically for use with BigQuery
• Demonstrated experience in building Python REST APIs
• Background in data warehousing, including building data warehouses and working with facts and aggregations
