Python Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Engineer (Python) for their Data Platform team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data teams to understand needs and challenges, ensuring the data stack evolves accordingly
• Propose, architect, design, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and minimize technical hurdles
• Enhance software engineering culture and resolve development, performance, and stability issues

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Python engineering, particularly in internal tooling and automation
• Expert fluency in Python and ideally SQL, with an understanding of programming language internals
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices and testing methodologies
• Experience with container-based development workflows (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.), Snowflake, AWS, Apache Airflow, and Kafka
• Experience with SQL, analytical databases, and data analytics
