QA Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a QA Engineer to join their team on a remote contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with QA leadership to define and drive the quality strategy at the team level
• Build and execute test plans, write and maintain test cases, and manage the team's defect database
• Communicate test status, coverage, and risks clearly to stakeholders and contribute to test automation pipelines

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software QA or related roles
• Experience testing service-based or distributed systems
• Familiarity with testing web front ends or UI-heavy applications
• Experience creating test plans and tracking test progress against goals
• Ability to gather logs, isolate repro steps, and triage defects with clear severity rationale
