QA Engineer
Job Summary
Collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams, the remote QA Engineer (1099 Contractor) will ensure the functionality, efficiency, and security of a federal health care platform by identifying defects, verifying feature implementations, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Review project requirements and create detailed test plans for functional, performance, accessibility, usability, and security testing
- Perform manual and automated testing, execute regression tests, and conduct exploratory testing to identify defects
- Log and track defects in Jira, collaborate with developers for troubleshooting, and participate in Agile ceremonies to recommend testing-process improvements
Required qualifications
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with JavaScript-based testing, specifically Cypress
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance
- Experience identifying and implementing Section 508 accessibility standards
- Proficiency in logging and tracking defects using Jira
