QA Engineer for Data Migration

Job Summary

To support a migration from an on-premises Oracle and Boomi environment to Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory, the full-time remote QA Engineer for Data Migration will validate migrated data, database objects, ETL pipelines, integrations, and business rules in the target Azure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate data migration, database objects, and ETL pipelines to ensure accuracy in the Azure environment
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts while documenting defects and retesting as necessary
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems, ensuring data quality and compliance with business rules

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in testing data migration, ETL, ELT, or data integration projects
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Azure SQL
• Ability to test ETL pipelines, data transformations, and integration logic
• Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and executing test scripts
