QA Engineer - Medical Background
Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the Senior QA Engineer - Medical Background will work remotely on a contracted basis to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of a modern publication management system by validating end-to-end functionality across user interfaces, APIs, and data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various testing types including functional and regression testing
- Validate end-to-end workflows encompassing publication ingestion, metadata management, and reporting
- Design and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing while collaborating with development teams to resolve defects
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer testing enterprise-scale web applications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools like Jira or TestRail
- Background in research, healthcare, academic, or life sciences environments
