QA Engineer - Mortgage

Job Summary

To ensure high-quality software for mortgage origination, the full-time remote QA Engineer - Mortgage will test user interfaces and workflows, identify and document bugs, and develop a regression test suite while collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Test UIs and workflows end-to-end using real loan scenarios to identify bugs and inconsistencies
• Write clear bug reports and build a regression test suite to ensure software quality before releases
• Define QA processes and lead the QA function, including hiring and training future team members

Required qualifications

• Experience in mortgage operations, processing, underwriting, or similar roles
• Hands-on experience with loan origination systems (e.g., Encompass, Empower)
• QA or software testing experience, including manual test design and regression suites
• Familiarity with light test automation tools like Playwright or Cypress
• Strong written communication skills for creating precise bug reports and test plans
