QA Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of QA Engineers, the full-time QA Lead will manage quality assurance processes, oversee release governance, and drive automation strategies while ensuring alignment with engineering and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and mentor a team of QA Engineers through regular performance reviews and career development conversations
• Own the QA strategy and oversee the release process across development teams, ensuring adherence to quality standards and governance
• Serve as the escalation point for complex defects and quality risks, engaging relevant stakeholders as necessary

Required qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in QA, including two to three years in a lead or senior role with people-management responsibilities
• Strong technical background in manual testing, API, backend testing, and automation
• Deep understanding of release governance and experience overseeing go/no-go decisions across multiple releases
• Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis for defects and connect quality risks to process improvements
• Experience designing metrics frameworks to present quality data to non-technical stakeholders
