QA Lead Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote QA Lead Engineer on a contract basis to drive the quality assurance strategy for a critical identity and access management modernization project, focusing on transitioning to a cloud-based solution while establishing a new QA function and automation framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the QA project scope, driving strategy, process, and execution
• Design and architect the test automation framework, including tool selection and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Track and communicate test progress, coverage, and defect metrics to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Experience in manual QA, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking
• Demonstrated experience building automation frameworks from scratch
• Proficiency in Java for writing automation scripts
• Hands-on experience with browser-based UI test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright
• Knowledge of API testing with tools like Postman to validate REST APIs
