QA Manager, Publishing

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned QA Manager, Publishing for a 6-month remote contract role, responsible for building the publishing QA function, managing external testing partners, and overseeing the QA process from early builds through launch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of external QA testers and design tailored QA strategies and workflows
• Partner with producers and leads to set testing priorities and milestones across the production calendar
• Report regularly to stakeholders on testing status and emerging QA practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in a senior QA role with expertise in QA methodology throughout the production lifecycle
• Direct experience leading a testing team with strong people-management skills
• Familiarity with standard QA tooling, including bug tracking and test management platforms
• Sharp attention to detail and the ability to prioritize critical shipping quality issues
• Genuine enthusiasm for games and understanding of game mechanics
