Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Quality Assurance Analyst will assist the Department for Medicaid Services Communications Team in achieving website and digital document accessibility compliance by December 31, 2026, focusing on remediation of digital documents and evaluation of website content.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on digital accessibility standards and user experience best practices
  • Remediate existing digital documents, particularly complex PDFs, to meet accessibility standards
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure new documents comply with accessibility requirements and track progress toward remediation goals
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro, with knowledge of accessible document best practices
  • At least one year of experience in remediating PDF documents for accessibility
  • Strong understanding of accessibility laws and regulations, including ADA and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards
  • Working knowledge of screen reader technology and accessibility tools
