Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Quality Assurance Engineer will conduct comprehensive testing activities to ensure the quality and functionality of software releases, including designing and executing test cases, performing regression testing, and collaborating with developers to resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review test requirements and manage test data for each software release
• Design, execute, and document functional test cases, including regression and smoke testing
• Log and track defects, collaborating with developers to verify fixes in staging and production environments

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of experience in software development or quality assurance
• Extensive knowledge of formal software testing for complex applications
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Rational or Mercury
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Experience authoring software quality-related documentation, including test plans and reports
