Quality Assurance Lead

Job Summary

To ensure the highest quality in book production, the full-time salaried Quality Assurance Lead will oversee the quality assurance process for production files, collaborating with editorial, production, and technology teams in a hybrid or remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the quality assurance process for production files, ensuring all details are meticulously checked before printing
• Manage and refine the preflight and file-upload process to meet production-ready standards
• Collaborate with production and editorial teams to implement process improvements and drive consistency across projects

Required qualifications:

• 7+ years of quality assurance experience, preferably in the publishing industry or a similar field
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and Vellum, along with expertise in preflighting tools (Adobe Acrobat, Pitstop)
• Strong understanding of book production processes and file management
• Familiarity with print-ready file preparation and color management basics
• Experience in a prepress or print production environment is a plus
