Quality Assurance Manual Tester

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Quality Assurance Manual Tester will ensure the quality and reliability of custom web and mobile applications through thorough manual testing, collaborating with developers and project managers to identify defects and verify fixes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases based on project requirements and specifications
• Perform functional, regression, usability, exploratory, and user interface testing for web and mobile applications
• Identify, document, prioritize, and verify software defects using Jira and TestRail

Required qualifications

• High school diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in software quality assurance or related field, or an Associate degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience testing web and mobile applications, specifically on iOS and Android devices
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools like Jira and TestRail
• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• U.S. Citizenship required
