Quality Assurance Review Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Review Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews authorizations and requests for records to ensure completeness and validity
• Verifies that medical records correspond to the authorization and are patient-specific
• Follows Quality Assurance policies and proactively communicates with management regarding clarifications and additional work

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in Health Information preferred
• RHIT or CHDA certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification
• 2 years of experience in a professional office or healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations related to the release of Protected Health Information preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn new software applications
