Quality Assurance Review Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Release of Information Quality Assurance Review Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews authorizations and requests for records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Verifies that medical records correlate with authorizations and are patient-specific
• Communicates with team members and managers regarding quality review issues and participates in QA meetings

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in Health Information is preferred
• RHIT or CHDA certification preferred, or the ability to pursue certification
• 2 years of experience in a professional office or healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations regarding the release of Protected Health Information preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn new software applications
