Quality Assurance Review Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Release of Information Quality Assurance Review Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews authorizations and requests for records to ensure accuracy and compliance with protocols
• Verifies that medical records correspond with the authorization and are patient-specific
• Participates in QA Team Meetings and communicates effectively with management and team members

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in Health Information preferred
• RHIT or CHDA certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification
• 2 years' experience in a professional office or healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA and state regulations regarding Protected Health Information preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications
