Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

To support high-quality online learning, the part-time Quality Assurance Specialist will conduct systematic course reviews using the CQCE Course Audit Tool, document findings, and collaborate with instructional design and academic teams, all while working remotely for 20 hours per week on a fixed contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed course audits to evaluate alignment with CQCE standards and assess instructional quality
• Document audit findings and provide actionable feedback to support course improvement and compliance
• Collaborate with instructional designers to ensure course materials meet accessibility standards and execute minor updates

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in online course design, instructional design, or quality assurance
• Experience evaluating online courses for accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508)
• Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas)
• Preferred experience using formal quality assurance frameworks (e.g., Quality Matters, OSCQR, OLC)
