Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the Patient Access Department, the full-time remote Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance across registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and authorization processes while conducting audits and preparing detailed reports to promote clean claims and minimize payment denials.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular audits of patient access workflows to evaluate data accuracy and compliance with quality standards
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings and trends for the leadership team
• Develop and implement quality improvement plans based on audit findings in collaboration with various departments

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of previous healthcare registration experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
