Quality CDI Analyst, RN (TX Licensed)

Job Summary

To support quality initiatives in a remote full-time capacity, the Quality CDI Analyst, RN (TX Licensed) will perform quality reviews on medical records to validate ICD-10 CM/PCS codes, ensure DRG appropriateness, and improve documentation accuracy while collaborating with various healthcare teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality reviews of medical records to validate coding and documentation accuracy
• Send compliant physician queries and collaborate with physician advisors and coding teams to enhance documentation
• Utilize extensive knowledge of pathophysiology and coding classifications to support quality improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of residence
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• CCS, CCDS, or CDIP certification required within 90 days of employment
• Two years of direct patient care experience in an acute hospital setting
• Two years of criteria-based chart review experience in areas such as Case Management or Quality Improvement
