Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary

Quality Control Specialist is a full-time remote position responsible for reviewing electronic medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electronic records for HIPAA compliance and authorization limits
• Determine legal rights to release medical records based on HIPAA regulations
• Mentor new employees and communicate issues to the Lead/Supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a medical record setting
• Must pass an industry-related course and exam within six months of hire
• Maintain current and yearly HIPAA certification
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Outlook and Windows-based programs
