Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Provide policy and guidance inputs for cryptographic modernization aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography at a large corporation or government agency
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Strong knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Security
