To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans, and collaborate with teams to communicate quantum risks, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using languages such as Python, C++, and Java
  • Advise on quantum-resistant algorithm migration and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
  • Assess cryptographic inventory and provide guidance for modernization aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
  • Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks like Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
  • Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks such as NIST and ISO/IEC 19790
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
