Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and assess organizational cryptographic inventories while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for implementing and testing cryptographic algorithms
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Cirq
- Expertise in post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
