Quantum Computing Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer, this remote position will implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, and collaborate with teams to communicate quantum risks to leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
• Work on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
• Assess organizational cryptographic inventory and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
• Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
• Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science
