Job Summary

To support a federal government client, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration, and assess organizational cryptographic inventory while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for implementing and testing cryptographic algorithms
  • Work with and advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) implementation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
Required qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography at a large corporation or government agency
  • Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
  • Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
  • Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
