Experienced in quantum computing and cryptography, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms using programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java, while advising on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risks in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages for implementing and testing cryptographic algorithms
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Assess organizational cryptographical inventory and provide guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum programming languages
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and existing cryptographic standards
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Cybersecurity or Computer Science
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
