Job Summary
To support federal government clients, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will implement and test cryptographic algorithms using programming languages like Python, C++, and Java, while advising on quantum-resistant algorithm migration and collaborating with cross-functional teams on quantum risk communication.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize programming languages for implementing and testing cryptographic algorithms
- Advise on quantum-resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Assess organizational cryptographical inventory and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Experience with existing cryptographic standards and frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
