Quantum Computing Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on the implementation and testing of cryptographic algorithms, the full-time Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will work remotely to advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, assess cryptographical inventory, and provide policy guidance aligned with NIST PQC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for cryptographic algorithm implementation and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
• Assess organizational cryptographical inventory and identify migration priorities for post-quantum cryptography implementation

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
• Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Cirq
• Knowledge of existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
