Quantum Computing Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer will utilize programming languages to implement and test cryptographic algorithms, advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans, and assess organizational cryptographical inventory.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using languages such as Python, C++, and Java
- Advise on quantum resistant algorithm migration plans and post-quantum cryptography implementation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in quantum computing and cryptography
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks such as Qiskit and Microsoft Quantum Development Kit
- Experience with existing cryptographic standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 19790)
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity
