R and D Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for an R&D Technician to perform research and engineering laboratory functions in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas
• Builds or assembles prototype materials, components, subassemblies, and assemblies
• Constructs, operates, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, maintains, and tests equipment, systems, or products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 1-4 years of experience
• Experience in research and engineering laboratory functions
• Knowledge of mechanical or electro-mechanical materials and devices
• Ability to work from schematics and engineering drawings
• Experience in maintaining detailed documentation throughout development and testing phases
