RAC Design Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the RAC Component Design Engineer (Ventilation) will design nuclear and industrial ventilation components, conduct engineering work in compliance with nuclear standards, and prepare engineering change packages to support the development of a Reactor Air Cooling System.

Key responsibilities

• Design ventilation components and structures from requirements definition through final design
• Conduct fluid and structural calculations to verify the ventilation system design
• Prepare engineering change packages, including calculations, design reports, and specifications

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 4+ years of relevant experience for Level 9 or 6+ years for Level 10
• Experience in developing ASME AG-1 ventilation systems
• Experience in preparing design and procurement specifications
• Experience working to quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
