Job Summary
To support the design and implementation of nuclear and industrial systems, the remote contract RAC System Engineer will manage the development of mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems, focusing on requirements definition, system architecture, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical and control systems, including creating specifications and system drawings
- Develop and maintain system architecture and control strategies, ensuring proper integration of instrumentation and control hardware
- Support verification and validation activities, managing technical interfaces with suppliers and preparing engineering change packages
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
- 6+ years of relevant experience for Level 10 or 10+ years for Level 11 with proven mechanical skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing complex structures and multi-discipline integration
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles in nuclear or similar industrial applications
- Previous experience with commercial nuclear reactors or high-temperature pressure vessels is highly desired
