Job Summary
To support the design of nuclear and industrial systems, the remote RAC System Engineer (Process & I&C) will manage the development of mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems, focusing on requirements definition, system architecture, and technical documentation in a contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Design nuclear and industrial mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems, including requirements definition and system drawings
- Develop and maintain system architecture, control strategies, and design documentation such as P&IDs and Logic Diagrams
- Support I&C verification and validation activities, ensuring proper selection and integration of control hardware for nuclear service
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
- 6+ years of relevant experience with proven mechanical skills for Level 10 or 10+ years for Level 11
- Demonstrated experience in developing design of complex structures and multi-discipline integration
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles and design control tools in nuclear or similar complex industrial applications
- Previous experience with commercial nuclear reactors and systems or high temperature pressure vessels is highly desired
