Radar Hardware Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical development of radar or lidar sensing systems, the full-time Senior Hardware Engineer, Radar will manage the entire process from concept through production launch, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure sensor performance meets vehicle and perception requirements, with options for remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and benchmarking of radar or lidar sensing systems
- Define sensor performance targets and drive supplier technical engagement
- Review test data and assess supplier evidence for technical credibility
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 7+ years of experience, or a Master's with 5+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience
- 8+ years of experience in automotive sensing with expertise in radar or lidar
- Strong first-principles understanding of radar or lidar technology
- Proficiency in scripting and analysis using Python and related tools
- Experience with engineering tools and automotive data interfaces
