Job Summary

A company in the Defense industry is seeking a Radiation Engineer to join their DHS CWMD Securing The Cities (STC) Team.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice and guidance in radiation and nuclear threat detection capabilities to local and regional CWMD stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies
  • Consult and advise all levels of federal management and technical personnel, including federal staff from other federal agencies, including Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Department of Energy (DOE)
  • Prepare and provide technical briefings and reports, and support conducting and evaluating research and development projects
Qualifications:
  • MA/MS degree or equivalent
  • 20 years or more experience preferred with a demonstrated knowledge of radiation and nuclear sciences, and radiation and nuclear detection capabilities
  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Familiarity with Domestic Detection CONOPS and ANSI standards on Radiation Instrumentation preferred
  • Experience in interagency work, including DOE and FBI, preferred
