Radiation Oncology Coder

Job Summary

To ensure maximum reimbursement, the full-time Radiation Oncology Coder will work remotely to accurately code all cases, review chart documentation, and collaborate with healthcare providers while adhering to established coding guidelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review chart documentation for accuracy and resolve inconsistencies with appropriate staff
• Communicate with Claims Resolution Specialists and Business Office staff to clarify issues and resolve errors
• Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and ensure compliance with third-party and governmental regulations

Required qualifications

• Radiation Oncology Certified Coder (ROCC) certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 3 years of experience in Radiation Oncology Coding
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred
• Entry-level Medical Billing and Coding Terminology experience preferred
