Job Summary
A company is looking for a Hot Cell Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of advanced radiological hot cell systems for nuclear fuel recycling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the design of radiological hot cells, including shielding and remote handling systems
- Define equipment layouts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for system integration
- Participate in safety analyses and contribute to design reviews and commissioning plans
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in radiological facility design or hot cell engineering
- Strong knowledge of remote handling systems and radiation shielding principles
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status due to export control requirements
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams
