Radiological Integration Engineer

Job Summary

To support nuclear design integration, the contract Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will work remotely, coordinating between design teams and radiological analysis to ensure alignment with shielding requirements and optimize plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate between design teams on plant source term and radiological release analysis, ensuring alignment with SSC radiological shielding design
• Develop Radiation Protection/Shielding design guidance and generate related program documents
• Lead cross-cutting analysis and design decisions, integrating results into plant design delivery and supporting radiological licensing activities

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of direct experience in radiological protection/health physics at a commercial nuclear facility
• Relevant experience in radiation protection design and shielding/source term analysis
• Experience with Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) code for complex geometry analyses
• Proven ability to manage multi-discipline design integration with minimal direction
