Job Summary
To support nuclear plant operations, the contract Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will work remotely to coordinate design integration with radiological analysis and shielding requirements, ensuring alignment between design and operational teams.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate between design teams on plant source term, radiological release analysis, and shielding design
- Develop Radiation Protection and Shielding design guidance and generate related program documents
- Lead cross-cutting analysis and design decisions while supporting radiological licensing activities
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in design, analysis, or operations related to radiological protection/health physics
- Relevant experience in shielding and source term analysis
- Experience with Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP) code for complex geometry analyses
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary design integration with competing objectives
