Radiological Integration Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will coordinate design integration for Nuclear Island System, Structure and Component (SSC) designs with a focus on radiological analysis and shielding requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate between design teams on radiological release analysis and SSC radiological shielding design
• Develop Radiation Protection/Shielding design guidance and program documents
• Lead cross-cutting analysis and design decisions to ensure alignment between radiological analysis and SSC design work

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
• 10+ years of experience in design, analysis, or operations related to radiological protection at a commercial nuclear facility
• Experience in shielding and source term analysis, including complex geometry analyses with MCNP code
• Relevant experience in multi-discipline and multi-organization design integration
• Previous experience with nuclear reactors or similar high-performance systems design
