Job Summary
To support radiological design integration at a commercial nuclear facility, the contract Plant Radiological Integration Engineer will coordinate between design and analysis teams, develop shielding design guidance, and ensure alignment of radiological assumptions in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate between design teams on radiological release analysis and shielding design
- Develop and generate program documents related to Radiation Protection and Shielding
- Lead cross-cutting analysis and design decisions while integrating results into plant design delivery
Required qualifications
- B.S. in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline from an accredited university
- 10+ years of direct experience in radiological protection/health physics at a commercial nuclear facility
- Experience in shielding and source term analysis, including complex geometry analyses with MCNP code
- Previous experience with nuclear reactors or high-performance systems design
- Ability to work on simultaneous tasks requiring a multi-disciplinary approach
